Privacy
Chariton Arcade is published by Chariton Media Group. This page says what the site stores, what it counts, and what it does not do. It is short because the site does very little.
Your high scores stay on your device
Each game saves your high score, and some save your progress and settings,
using your browser's localStorage. That data sits on your own
device. It is never sent to us and we cannot read it. Clearing your
browser's site data erases it, and we have no copy.
There are no accounts and no leaderboards. Nothing you do in a game is tied to a name.
If your browser blocks localStorage, the games still run;
your score simply is not saved.
Visitor counts
We count visits with Umami, which we run ourselves on our own server at
analytics.charitonmedia.com. It records the page you viewed,
roughly where in the world the request came from, your screen size, and
which site sent you here. It does not use cookies, it does not follow you
to other sites, and it does not build a profile of you.
Advertising
The advertising here is ours. Chariton Media sells it directly and serves it from our own servers. There is no ad network, no ad exchange, and no third-party advertising script anywhere on this site. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
When you click an ad, the link goes to an address on this site that starts
with /go/ and immediately forwards you to the advertiser. Our
web server writes an ordinary line in its log saying that a redirect
happened, which is how we tell an advertiser how many clicks they got. That
log line carries no cookie and no identifier we assign to you. There is no
tracking pixel and no beacon.
Once you land on an advertiser's site, you are on their site under their privacy policy, not ours.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies.
Children
The games are free to play and ask for nothing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect personal information at all.
